Tracey
Moscaritolo loves to paint and she loves color! Her acrylic paintings exude vibrant
and deeply rooted emotion. Detail, sharp contrasts and a wonderful ability to
blend hues combine to create vivid landscapes, rich seascapes and extraordinary
little houses that welcome the viewer. Tracey's paintings impart a true sense
of peace and tranquility, transporting them to some of the world's most serene
locations.
Tracey's
unique expressions on canvas are created in a Fauvist Impressionist style which
carefully balances and harmonizes her response to life. Her subjects are straightforward
- filled with excitement and emotion. Her work has been described as "sophisticated
simplicity." Her paintings make people happy!
Born
and brought up in the West End neighborhood of Boston, she was inspired at an
early age by plein air painters of Provincetown during summer visits with her
sister. Tracey has been hooked on painting ever since!
"I was a metal
sculptor for several years, but once I began to paint, I knew I had found my true
path." Evolving from metal sculpture, Tracey studied with well-known painters
at the Art Institute of Southern California in Laguna Beach.
